Fattest Cities: Where Does Chicago Rank?
A new study ranks the top 100 most populated cities in terms of obesity and related health problems.

CHICAGO, IL — Despite its love of food — the not-so-healthy stuff like deep-dish pizza, hot dogs and Italian beef — Chicago and other Illinois towns ranked almost dead center on a list of the 100 fattest cities in the country.
WalletHub, which bills itself as an online "financial advisor," released a list Wednesday of the 2017 Fattest Cities in America based on government data on obesity, health problems associated with weight and environmental health. The list looks at the 100 most-populated cities in the U.S.
WalletHub placed the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin area at No. 54 on the list, which also gives scores for "overweight and obesity," "weight-related health problems" and "healthy environment" rankings.
