The medical examiner's office in Kent County, Michigan, determined the cause of death was a closed head injury, the Tribune reports.

A resort spokesman told the Tribune Delaney and her family had been visiting Crystal Mountain for years, and this wasn't the first time the girl had been skiing. The spokesman also said the instructor followed proper procedure before and after the accident.
