Chicago-Area Memorial Day Weekend Forecast: 'Overall, Not Too Bad,' NWS Says
While there is a chance of rain for the Chicago area, most of the weekend is expected to be dry and mild.

Yes, there could be some rain this weekend in the Chicago area. But overall, the forecast for the holiday weekend is looking pretty good, weather officials said Thursday. The chance for a shower does exist and could come at any point during the weekend, but all indications are that the vast majority of the weekend will be rain-free and mild.
Partly sunny skies are in the forecast Saturday through Monday with temps expected to reach into the 70s, and even 80s, for portions of the Chicago area. High temps between 75 and 80 degrees are expected on Saturday with low- to mid-6os along Lake Michigan. No lake cooling is expected on Sunday or Monday, which means it might be a good day to head to the beach along Lake Michigan. High temps between 73 and 76 degrees are expected on Saturday, and highs between 70 and 74 degrees are in the forecast on Monday.
The best chance for rain will be on Saturday night and again on Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
