Chicago-Area Weather: Storms, Showers Possible; Temps In 70s
A look at the weekend weather forecast for the Chicago area.

The weekend is expected to bring pleasant temperatures in the 70s for the Chicago area. On Saturday, mostly sunny skies with high temps between 77 and 80 degrees are expected. Meanwhile, high temps between 71 and 75 degrees and showers and thunderstorms are possible on Sunday.
The weekend will see a slight warm up over Friday when fall-like temps brought highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

- Friday Night: Partly cloudy early in the evening then clearing. Lows in the mid 50s in the suburbs...but around 60 downtown. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
- Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s in the suburbs...but in the mid 60s downtown. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Sunday: Cloudy. Showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph in the morning becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.
- Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Lows in the upper 50s in the suburbs...but in the lower 60s downtown. East winds 5 to 10 mph in the evening becoming northeast after midnight.
- Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 70s inland...but only in the lower 70s near the lake.
