Chicago Blackhawks Prospect Accused of 'Revenge Porn'

Two minor league Chicago Blackhawks prospects are the subjects of a “revenge porn” investigation, and one has already been charged with a felony.

Garret Ross, a 23-year old who plays for the Rockford IceHogs - the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate - is accused of sharing an explicit video of a Sycamore woman who dated one of his teammates, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The woman told police in September that she had ended the relationship with Ross’ teammate - who has not been charged and whose name has not been released - because she found out he already had a girlfriend and had been meeting other women via Tinder. After Ross’ girlfriend dumped him for similar reasons, he allegedly sent angry text messages to the Sycamore woman and included the explicit video and photos among them.

The woman requested both Ross and the teammate be charged.

Police arrested Ross on Feb 2 after a four-month investigation in which they had access to his cell phone.

Ross has played for the IceHogs since the incident, but has missed the team’s last two games.
