Chicago Dining Icons Penny Pollack, Michael Nagrant Start Podcast
The DINING OUT LOUD podcast went live on Friday.

CHICAGO, IL — Veteran dining editor and author Penny Pollack and acclaimed food critic Michael Nagrant launched a new podcast Friday. In each DINING OUT LOUD podcast episode, Pollack and Nagrant review and debate their latest restaurant experiences. Their podcast explores the critiques that can make or break a restaurant.
The podcast will include interviews with industry professionals, restaurant 'inside banter' and topics like food waste and good service, producers announced.
The podcast will also two feature recurring segments 'Where Penny Eats' and 'Where Mike Eats,' which will highlight the two food gurus' favorite eateries.

“I look forward to sharing the many stories that are waiting to be told,” Pollack said. “The time has come for me to share my opinions on my own terms…and in my own font size.”
Nagrant said he's "happy for the opportunity to match wits" with Pollack.

“Penny has probably forgotten more than I’ll ever know," he said.
The first episodes of DINING OUT LOUD include “The One Where Nobody Liked The Chicken” (Brendan Sodikoff’s new sushi spot, Radio Anago, goes under the knife); “What The Hell Is A Puffy Taco” (Mike explains to Penny exactly what is a “puffy” taco) and “When Penny Met Rich” (Penny interviews celeb chef, Richard Blais, but first she asks him "who the heck" he is).
Pollack, the author of Bonne Vivant and longtime dining editor of Chicago Magazine, retired last year after a remarkably successful 30-year career.
Nagrant is an acclaimed food critic and contributor to the James Beard Award-winning Alinea cookbook.
