Chicago Police Officers Injured In Car Crash

A marked squad car with police lights activated struck a van Tuesday in Chicago, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Two Chicago police officers were injured in a crash early Tuesday, authorities said.

A marked squad car was traveling west in the 3300 block of West Chicago Avenue with police lights activated when it struck a Chrysler van leaving a parking space around 7 a.m., according to law enforcement. The officers were taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said, adding no other injuries were reported.

No one was in custody and no citations were issued, according to police.
