Chicago Police Warn Of Robberies By Man In Wheelchair
The robberies happened in the South Loop neighborhood, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police issued a community alert warning of robberies committed by a suspect in a wheelchair. The robberies happened in the South Loop neighborhood, police said. In each incident, the suspect rolled up to people in a public place and asked for change or cigarettes, according to police.
As they complied, the offender attacked the victims and stole their property, police said.

• 1200 block of S. Wabash Ave. on June 30 at 1:54 a.m.
• 700 block of S. Michigan Ave. on July 3 at 3:12 a.m.
• 900 block of S. Michigan Ave. on July 3 at 9 a.m.
No one was in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8384.
