Chicago’s Emily Szymanski, Mary Tilden, Kenya Ann Hall, Jodi Gage, Gregory Graham and Anna Vu are all featured in Refracted Theatre Company’s production of Coronation, written by Laura Winters and directed by Tova Wolff, October 11 - November 16, in the Bookspan Theatre at The Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. Refracted Theatre was the recipient of eight Jeff Awards for its most recent production Tambo & Bones and returns to the stage with “Coronation.” Mary Tilden and Jodi Gage are a part of the acting ensemble, each embodying different roles throughout the show. Anna Vu works behind the scenes as stage manager and is assisted by Emily Szymanski. Kenya Ann Hall is dramaturg and Jeff Award-nominee Gregory Graham is costume designer.

After another female candidate loses the 2044 presidential election, three passionate but disillusioned women dream up a new branch of government - a monarchy to be run by none other than the Queen of America. This three-act femme-futurist, political satire features a gas mask fashion show, a ball gown made out of blue jeans and a walking, talking, plotting Siri.

The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $31 and are on sale now at RefractedCo.com.
