Chicago Stars FC Announces 2026 Home Match Theme Nights, Giveaways

CHICAGO — With the start of the season right around the corner, and the recent release of its 2026 schedule, Chicago Stars FC has announced its theme nights, giveaways, and ticket packages for home matches.

The National Women's Soccer League club kicks off the new season next month on the road at Angel City FC on March 17 before hosting Kansas City Current on March 22.

The Stars will be playing home matches this season at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. The team recently filed an application to eventually play at Ryan Field on the Evanston campus. The club commissioned a community poll by the 2040 Strategy Group, which showed 82 percent of Evanston residents were in favor of the team playing at Ryan Field. In the poll, residents said they believe the team would reinforce the city's values and promote gender equity.

"Evanston has a history of being a national leader in supporting women’s sports and advancing gender equity," Chicago Stars FC President Karen Leetzow said last month. "Bringing world-class professional athletes to compete right here creates powerful, real-life role models for young girls in the community while showing them what’s possible both on and off the field."

The club also recently announced it plans to begin building another North Shore hub in Bannockburn, with a player-centric performance center slated to open in 2027. The site will serve as the base for team operations and will feature two full-sized soccer pitches and a goalkeeper-specific pitch.

If the permit is approved, the Stars said the club intends to become a trusted community partner in Evanston. Leetzow said the Stars will work closely with local organizations and community groups to ensure that Evanston residents benefit from engaging with the club.

The 2026 season will feature the return of fan-favorite themes such as "Pride" and "Nuestra Ciudad." New themes will also be introduced, including "Hello Kitty Day" at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Fans can also celebrate Halloween with a spooky soccer match when the Stars play Seattle Reign FC.

The Chicago Stars' patch program is returning for all 15 home matches in 2026, allowing fans a chance to collect a special Velcro patch commemorating each theme night. Only 1,000 patches will be distributed at the gates for each match. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their limited-edition patch.

These patches can be swapped out on last season's Chicago Stars FC beanie. Two new items, a Chicago Stars FC baseball cap and a Chicago Stars FC clear crossbody bag, will soon be available on ChicagoStarsShop.com to accompany the patch collection.

Select matches in the 2026 season will offer special ticket packages for purchase prior to matchday. These packages include a match ticket and a promotional item. Promotional items vary and may include a bag, a hat, a shirt, or a ticket for the Jameson Pub to Pitch bus program.
