Monday night will be quite cold, with wind chill values below zero. There's also a chance of rain and snow.
ILLINOIS — After a rainy Sunday, the work week ahead looks mostly dry with some periodic chances for rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service — but first, some windy weather is possible.
Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible Sunday into Monday, with a wind advisory in effect until noon for counties including Cook, DuPage, Will, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake and McHenry counties. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, such as outdoor holiday decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result, the National Weather Service said.
Monday will be blustery and colder, with a high of 34 degrees.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, although there is a chance of flurries before 9 a.m., the weather service said. Monday night will be even colder, and wind chill values could be as low minus 5 degrees, NWS said.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy as well, with a high of 27 degrees. There is also a 20 percent chance of snow on Tuesday night, according to the weather service.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high of 34; and Thursday will be mostly cloud with a high of 39. On Thursday, there is a chance of snow before 10 a.m., followed by a chance of rain and snow, the weather service said.
Friday will close out the week with more mild temperatures, and a high of 45 degrees. There is also a chance of rain and snow, the weather service said.
