Congresswoman Plans Anti-Donald Trump Rally Outside Trump Tower

U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky will lead rally outside Trump Tower during candidate's appearance in Chicago on Tuesday.

Chicago, IL - Four months and one day after his rally at the UIC Pavilion was cancelled due to tense confrontations between supporters and protesters, Donald Trump is coming back to Chicago.

He’s holding a fundraiser at the Trump Tower on Tuesday at 10 a.m., when guests will pay between $10,000 and $100,000 to meet him, DNAinfo Chicago reports.

And just like March, there is a protest planned.

Illinois 9th District U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Evanston sent out an email to her constituents asking them to join her for a “Chicago Trumps Hate” rally at Wabash Avenue and Wacker Drive, according to DNA.

"In light of everything that's been happening, our country needs unity more than ever," wrote Ben Head, Schakowsky's political director. "Donald Trump is the exact opposite, he's tearing us apart."
