CPS Students Plan Walkout
Students at some Chicago schools will leave class early today for a pro-education funding rally at the Thompson Center.

CHICAGO, IL - In April, Chicago Public Schools teachers staged a one-day walkout to protest state funding cuts in education and on Friday some students are planning to do the same.
Some CPS students will walk-out of their schools and head to the Thompson Center downtown for a 2 p.m. rally, according to a WGN report. The protest is in response to the extreme budget cuts facing the district as the state goes on year No. 2 without a budget.
