Cubs Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale: How To Buy Your Wrigley Field Seats For 2017 Season

Fans can buy single tickets for the upcoming season starting Friday morning. Here's what you need to know before they go on sale.

CHICAGO, IL — Single-game tickets for the Chicago Cubs' 2017 home games go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24. Historically, Wrigley Field tickets have always been hot items, but this year they're especially coveted now that fans can see the Cubs play in the Friendly Confines as defending World Series champions.

Plus, it's not every season the Cubs get to play host to a three-game interleague series with the New York Yankees, a franchise with a history of building championship dynasties that the North Siders hope to emulate. The Yanks and their young squad of Baby Bronx Bombers come to town May 5-7.

"Given the unprecedented demand for our tickets following last year's World Series championship, we urge fans to purchase tickets to their desired dates as early as possible. Many of our popular games are expected to sell quickly," Colin Faulkner, Cubs senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement about tickets earier this month.

How To Buy Tickets …

  • Online: Fans can begin "gathering" at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the virtual waiting room on the Cubs' official website. Customers in the waiting room will be randomly selected once tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. All online customers need a Cubs.com account to buy tickets this way, and if they don't have an account, they should register for one before the sale.
  • With MLB.com's mobile Ballpark app: This is the first year fans will be able to use the app on their phone, tablet or other mobile device to buy tickets. The app also delivers electronic tickets instantly and eliminates the need to print out physical copies. Go to the Ballpark app's page on the Cubs' site for an FAQ and video tutorial.
  • By phone: Call 800-THE-CUBS (800-843-2827). Representatives will begin selling tickets at 10 a.m.
  • At Wrigley Field: If you want to buy tickets from the ballpark box office, you'll have to wait until next week. Wrigley Field box office tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Budweiser Bleacher ticket windows on Waveland Avenue, near the bleachers' main entrance. Box office hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends before Opening Night on April 2.

Sale Limits and Restrictions

Customers can buy a maximum of 40 tickets per order. There is a four-ticket limit per household, credit card or email address for Diamond, Marquee and Platinum games. All other games have a 14-ticket limit.
