David Letterman Spotted In Chicago Filming New Netflix Talk Show

Letterman was seen in the city's Lincoln Park and South Loop neighborhoods.

CHICAGO, IL — David Letterman came to Chicago for the filming of his new Netflix talk show "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction." The veteran host, who is now out of retirement, was seen at the Athenian Room restaurant in Lincoln Park Tuesday. He was also spotted in the South Loop at Buddy Guy's Legends, according to several reports.

Letterman's new Netflix interview series was announced in the summer of last year. In early January, Netflix said Letterman's guests would include Barack Obama, George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z and other famous names. Letterman's interview with Obama premiered Jan. 12, and his interview with George Clooney aired Feb. 9.

Tina Fey is scheduled to appear as a guest, which could explain why the filming happened at the Athenian Room—it's her favorite restaurant in Chicago, according to several reports.
