Dip Into Portillo's New 'Enhanced' Menu Items

CHICAGO, IL — Portillo's announced the introduction of five new saucy menu items on Tuesday.

The iconic Chicagoland chain added a handful of enhanced dipping sauces to its menu, some of which are newer versions of ones that were already on the menu. The list includes BBQ, Buttermilk Ranch, Honey Mustard, Hot Giardiniera Sauce and Comeback Sauce.

Brand new to the menu, Comeback sauce is meant to celebrate the record-number of comebacks by the Chicago Bears this NFL season. The chain describes the sauce as a creamy, tangy chicken dipping sauce with black pepper, garlic and paprika.

The other four dips were improved based on customer feedback and are described as:

• BBQ: Tangy and sweet with a touch of smokey heat.
• Buttermilk Ranch: Rich and tangy with buttermilk, fresh herbs, onion, garlic, and black pepper.
• Honey Mustard: A blend of Dijon and yellow mustards, real honey, lemon, and savory spices.
• Hot Giardiniera Sauce: Creamy, spicy dipping sauce made with Portillo's hot giardiniera relish.
