CHICAGO, IL — If you see smoke or flames today near O'Hare International Airport, there's no need for alarm.

The Chicago Fire Department is conducting classes in O'Hare's north airfield, according to a tweet from the airport published just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

"Regular training in progress at O'Hare," the fire department said in a tweet around the same time. "Smoke is from simulator pad. No aircraft emergency."

O'Hare is a frequent training location for the department, which also used the airport for trainings on Tuesday, Friday and last Thursday.
