Double Duty Classic Held At Guaranteed Rate Field
High school baseball players from several city and suburban schools took part in the annual event held by the Chicago White Sox.
CHICAGO, IL - More than 35 high school baseball players in the city and suburbs took part in the annual Double Duty Classic at Guaranteed Rate Field, the home of the Chicago White Sox, earlier this week. The DDC celebrates the history and tradition of Negro League baseball in Chicago while also promoting the next generation of inner-city players.
Players from several schools took part in the event, which drew several special guests to the ballpark including 2005 World Series Most Valuable Player Jermaine Dye.
