Drew Peterson's Ex-Attorney Accused Of Misconduct: Report
Joel Brodsky has been named in a complaint before a state regulatory agency, the Chicago Tribune reported.

CHICAGO — The former attorney for convicted killer Drew Peterson is the subject of a complaint filed by a state commission over his work in three cases, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune. Joel Brodsky is currently representing Chicago Officer Robert Rialmo, who was at the center of a 2015 fatal police shooting.
The complaint, which was filed by the administrator of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, accuses Brodsky of "false allegations and inappropriate diatribes," and “using means that have no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay or burden a third person,” the Tribune reported.
A U.S. District Judge ordered Brodsky to undergo anger management training and fined him $50,000 earlier this year in one of the cases, according to the report. In all three cases, Brodsky has been accused of misconduct in emails to opposing counsel and people involved in his cases.

In a statement to Patch, Brodsky said the complaint "...contains mere allegations which we strongly disagree with, which we will be contesting, and which only tell one side of the story."
"Just like in the Robert Rialmo case, where I defended Officer Rialmo who was acquitted, people should refrain from jumping to conclusions about what actually happened until after a full hearing where all of the facts and circumstances are brought out," Brodsky said in the statement.

Rialmo shot and killed 19-year-old Quintonio LeGrier, and Bettie Jones, 55, a grandmother and mother of five who had been standing behind LeGrier when she was accidentally hit by gunfire. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office decided not to file criminal charges against Rialmo following an investigation by the Independent Police Review Authority, the Illinois State Police and the FBI.
Brodsky was the former attorney for Drew Peterson, who was sentenced in 2013 for killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
