Freezing Rain, Snow Possible After Dry Saturday: IL Weather

ILLINOIS — The weekend will start off dry, before freezing rain is possible on Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday will be sunny and dry, with a high of 44 degrees, the weather service said. There is a small chance of snow late Saturday into Sunday, with gusts as high as 15 mph, according to the weather service.

Sunday will be milder with a high of 53 degrees, but it will be breezy and precipitation is possible.

According to the weather service, there is a chance of rain and snow before 7 a.m. on Sunday. Precipitation may start as freezing rain early Sunday, before changing to a cold rain, the weather service said.

Rain chances continue Sunday night, before another chance of snow is possible on Monday and Tuesday to start the work week, according to the weather service.
