Dry Saturday, Then Rainy, Blustery Weather Moves In To Illinois

The weather service said widespread, soaking rain and blustery winds are likely on Sunday and Monday.

ILLINOIS — A cooler, rainy weekend is possible for Illinois, as an "unsettled" weather pattern begins with the start of the work week, according to the National Weather Service.

Widespread frost northwest of a line from Mendota to Aurora to Antioch is also possible as temperatures on Friday night are expected drop into the 30s, the weather service said. Other areas may see patches of frost overnight.

Weather will be dry and sunny during the day Saturday, with a high of 58 expected, the weather service said. Showers will then develop late Saturday, and continue into Sunday.

According to the weather service, the high for Sunday is 58, and it will be rainy and blustery during the day, and storms are possible Sunday night.

The weather service said widespread, soaking rain and blustery winds are likely on Sunday and Monday. There will likely be rises in river and stream levels, with flooding possible on roads near leaf-clogged sewer drains.
