Dry Start To Week, Then Possible Storms And Hot Temps For IL

Monday and Tuesday should be dry and sunny, but there is a chance of storms as temps increase to near 90 for the latter half of the week.

ILLINOIS — Temperatures will start to warm to near 90 degrees by the end of the week, as more humid conditions also return to the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday and Tuesday will both be dry and sunny, with a high of 83 on Monday and a high of 85 on Tuesday, the weather service said. By mid-week, there will be a chance of some isolated storms as temperatures start to climb.

Wednesday has a high of 87 degrees, and a chance of isolated storms on Wednesday afternoon, especially southeast of Interstate 55, according to the weather service. Thursday and Friday look similar, with chances of isolated storms during the day.

Thursday has a high of 88, and Friday a high of 89 degrees, according to the weather service.
