Inbound Eisenhower Shut Down Following Shooting
All inbound lanes were closed Monday afternoon.

CHICAGO, IL — All inbound lanes of I-290 were closed between Independence and California Monday afternoon after a reported shooting.
The details of the shooting were not immediately clear, according to WGN.
Illinois State Police told the Chicago Tribune they received a call of someone shot on the Eisenhower and found a shell casing, but no victim, near Kedzie Avenue. At around 2 p.m. authorities said they weren't sure if anyone was hit.

Chicago Tribune reported Tony Briscoe reported a nearly hour-long delay and heavy police presence near Sacramento.
