El Yiyo, A Must-See Performance of Flamenco Oct. 18-19

Created in partnership with the Royal Opera of Madrid and produced by SO-LA-NA, with additional support from Instituto Cervantes Chicago, this special flamenco dance concert with live music brings together the critically acclaimed Authentic Flamenco and renowned flamenco artist Miguel Fernandez known as EL Yiyo for an unforgettable performance with stunning vocals, melodies and choreographies.
The New York Times calls El Yiyo “A Flamenco dancer for the You Tube generation," citing “El Yiyo is part of a new generation of flamenco artists, some of whom are pushing the boundaries of the traditional Spanish music and dance style by combining it with other genres.” In addition to El Yiyo, other featured artists in these performances include Falete (guitar) and Diego Amador Jr. and Aaron Molina (vocals).
