CHICAGO — The family of a man whose body was found in the Chicago River on Saturday is working with a private investigator to get to the bottom of his unexpected disappearance and death.

Noah Enos, 26, went missing after a June 12 King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard show at The Salt Shed, 1357 N. Elston Ave., the new music venue in the former Morton Salt factory.

Enos was a Cape Cod native who moved to Chicago from Missouri about a year ago and recently began working at a restaurant in Wicker Park.

On Saturday, authorities pulled his body out of the Chicago River near the concert venue.

Steven Enos, Noah's father, described it as the worst possible news.

"We have so many expenses and could use both financial help and prayers as well," Enos said, in an online fundraiser.

"We are still working with a private investigator hoping to find justice for Noah," he said.

Another online fundraiser, started by Enos' cousin on behalf of his mother, said the family was grateful for all the support.

"Sadly, we have received the heartbreaking confirmation that Noah has passed away," said the cousin. "Though the search for Noah is over, his family is still in need of financial support as they plan a funeral and manage other final expenses."

No cause and manner of Enos' death has been determined, as the results of an autopsy conducted Sunday by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office remain pending.

Chicago police detectives have also launched a death investigation.

The investigation into Enos' disappearance and death led to the postponement of the Queer Fam Pride Jam, which was supposed to be held at The Salt Shed Saturday, organizers told WLS.
