Fluffy Snow Possible Monday, Then Milder Temps: Illinois Weather

Temperatures will start to fall on Sunday, bringing about a cold Monday with a high of 9 degrees.

ILLINOIS — Fluffy snow will possibly start the work week, as flakes are possible Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service. A few tenths of snow accumulation is possible, and could overlap with the morning commute, the weather service said.

Temperatures will start to fall on Sunday, bringing about a cold Monday with a high of 9 degrees. Monday night's low will also be chilly at -6 degrees, according to the weather service.

A warming trend will begin later in the week, as the high for Tuesday will be 32, and a high of 40 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the weather service.

All three days are also expected to be partly sunny and dry.

There is a chance of rain and snow on Friday, which has a high of 36, according to the weather service.
