Folk troubadour Mark Dvorak performs at Edgebrook Library event September 19

CHICAGO IL - The Edgebrook Branch of the Chicago Public Library, welcomes folk troubadour Mark Dvorak to “Folk Songs & Fall Sweets” event, Saturday September 19 at 10:00 am. The event takes place in the library garden, 5331 W. Devon Avenue.

“We’re thrilled to have Mark back performing in our garden,” said Jeannine Tiesch-Ramirez of the Edgebrook Library. “It’ll be a wonderful morning event to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary. "

The Sweet Ride dessert truck will provide cider and donuts while supplies last. The Chicago Tribune has called Dvorak “masterful,” and the Fox Valley Folk Festival describes him as “a living archive of song and style.” Dvorak has won awards for journalism and children’s music and was honored in 2013 with the FARM Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International. In 2008 he received the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2012 Rich Warren, long time host of The Midnight Special radio program named Dvorak “Chicago’s official troubadour.”
