Former Chicago Bear Appointed CEO of Famous Brands International

Famous Brands International is​ the parent company of Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY Yogurt.

CHICAGO, IL — A former Chicago Bears tight end found his sweet spot after life in the NFL.

Dustin Lyman, 40, was recently appointed CEO of Broomfield, Colorado's Famous Brands International — the parent company of Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY Yogurt, according to a news release Wednesday.

Lyman played for the Bears from 2000 to 2005. In 2013, he joined Famous Brands as a member of the management team installed by private equity firm Z Capital Partners. Before that, he held "key financial positions" at Vail Resorts and Dish Network, the company release said.

Right out of Wake Forest University, Lyman was selected in the third round of the 200 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He scored three touchdowns during his five seasons with the Bears.

"Dustin is a natural leader that sets a high standard for himself and those around him. He has a winning mentality and a focused determination that motivates people," Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, who coached Lyman at Wake Forest, said in the news release.
