CHICAGO — The Museum of Science and Industry is offering Illinois residents free entry for several days next month. The popular museum offers free days to locals each year to encourage them to check out exhibits in their own backyard.

More than a dozen exhibits will be on display in June, including "Science Storms," which allows visitors to control a 40-foot tornado, and "U-505 Submarine," which features the real German "terror of the Atlantic" U-boat that was captured in 1944.

From June 3 to June 5, you just need to show proof of residency for free admission; however, some exhibits may charge a fee.
