Free Beer In Chicago On Memorial Day

CHICAGO — A beer pop-up is aiming to combat Chicago's gloomy weather forecast for this Memorial Day with a little oasis in Wrigleyville. Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy brand is offering a "15 Minutes of Summer" pop-up that can be booked between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday.

The booking will include samples of cold Summer Shandy, relaxing tunes, comfy chairs, heat lamps and other freebies.

"Even if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, we’re helping Chicago take back summer," organizers said.

The pop-up is free, and will be held at Murphy’s Bleachers, 3655 N Sheffield Ave. Groups of four can reserve 15 minute increments, and select their best available time at the checkout.
