Funnel Clouds Possible For Will, Kendall County: IL Weather
Funnel clouds may develop underneath rain or weak thunderstorms, but they are not expected to touch the ground, the weather service said.
ILLINOIS — Funnel clouds and brief downpours are possible Monday evening for Will, Kendall, Grundy, La Salle and Livingston counties, according to the National Weather Service. Funnel clouds may develop underneath rain or weak thunderstorms, but they are not expected to touch the ground and typically do not pose a hazard, the weather service said.
The atmospheric conditions do not support strong, damaging tornadoes, according to the weather service. Some low-hanging clouds may also look to dip up and down at times, but they will not show signs of rapid rotation.
The weather service said that in rare instances, the funnels may briefly touch the ground and produce very minimal, if any, damage.
