Get Witchy At Rhiannon: The Fleetwood Mac Pop-Up Bar

Welcome fall this year with some witchy cocktails and tarot readings at the Fleetwood Mac Pop-Up!

CHICAGO, IL — Tonight is the night! Starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, the much anticipated Rhiannon: the Fleetwood Mac Pop-Up bar will open at the Rookery. There will be some creative cocktails, a tarot card reader and everybody can be as witchy as they'd like.

They'll run it for 25 nights. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until Saturday, Nov. 3. Plus Halloween, naturally, which is on a Wednesday this year. They'll be open from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. (3 a.m. Saturday nights).

The pop-up was conceived in coincidences. Heaven Malone, the "Vampire Disco DJ" who came up with the idea, told Patch this event's themes all came together perfectly, even serendipitously.

Malone had run pop-ups before, but "I wanted something a bit female focused and empowering," with a touch of witchcraft, he told Patch. Rhiannon is a Welsh witch, so Malone ran some witchy pop-ups. It also happens one of Stevie Nicks' first songs with Fleetwood Mac is Rhiannon.

Nicks is featured in the new American Horror Story. And, as it happens, Fleetwood Mac is back on tour.

Malone described another coincidence to Patch:

Several years ago, I was staying at The Hollywood Roosevelt in LA and DJing a few gigs. One night, as I was heading out I run into Zachary Quinto. When I come back later, I see the “American Horror Story” logo projected in the swimming pool. I had no idea what it was. I realized months later that I was at the Season 1 premiere party. I wish I hung out! I thought it said American Horror Society! No clue at all! At least I should have raiding the catering setup.
