Man Assaulting Women Pushing Strollers, Walking Alone
For the past three weeks, police said a man on a bike has been assaulting women on streets across several police districts

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police have updated a community alert for several police districts warning that a man on a bike has assaulted women who were either walking alone or with children. The assaults happened in Lincoln Square, Ravenswood, and Rogers Park areas from Sept. 3 to Sept. 24, according to police. The man typically approached the women from behind and groped or grabbed them from behind as he rode by.
Police said nine women have been targeted throughout the month. Here is a list of the locations where the assaults took place:
- 5900 block of North Maplewood Avenue, Sept. 3, 3:15 p.m.
- 1400 block of West Pratt Boulevard, Sept. 14, 9:49 a.m.
- 4400 block of North Ravenswood Avenue, Sept. 14, 10:33 a.m.
- 4600 block of North Campbell Avenue, Sept. 14, 10:45 a.m.
- 4800 block of North Magnolia Avenue, Sept. 14, 10:55 a.m.
- 2300 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, Sept. 14, 11 a.m.
- 2700 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Sept. 14, 11:25 a.m.
- 2200 block of West Leland Avenue, Sept. 20, 12:30 a.m.
- 5000 block of North Wolcott Avenue, Sept. 24, 12:30 p.m.

Police said the man was riding a silver BMX or mountain bike during the incidents, and his age range was pegged at between 25 and 40. A Sept. 15 report described the man as white, possibly wearing a dark colored baseball cap with a black and gray striped sweater and blue jeans.
