A group of white men has broken into more than 75 shops in the city and suburbs over the last six months.
Dozens of burglaries have been reported at hair salons in Chicago and the suburbs over the last six months.
The heists have been pulled off by a group of white men in their late teens or early 20s. There have been more than 75 reports in the city and suburbs since August.
Communities hit have been Algonquin, Arlington Heights, Barrington, Batavia, Buffalo Grove, Cary, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Deerfield, Downers Grove, Evanston, Frankfort, Glenview, Gurnee, Highland Park, Lake Zurich, Lemont, Libertyville, Kildeer, Naperville, New Lenox, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield, Oak Brook, Palatine, Roselle, Shorewood, Skokie, Vernon Hills, Wheeling and Wilmette.

All incidents have taken place between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. and have occurred on every day of the week.
Police believe the suspects watch the business as it closes, shatter the glass door with a fist or bat and take cash, jewelry and electronics when inside.
