Cop, Police Dog Injured In High-Speed Chicago Police Chase: Video

Two suspects have been taken into custody after a high speed chase that lasted for nearly an hour, according to police.

CHICAGO, IL — Police were involved in a high-speed chase in the Chicago area for more than an hour Thursday morning. Video footage released by NBC 5 shows a white truck being pursued by several police vehicles near 95th and I-57. The truck wove through residential areas and onto sidewalks several times, according to the footage.

The chase started at 133rd Street and Calumet in Cedar Lake, Indiana, police said, after officers identified the truck was stolen. One of the suspects was driving a white Good Year truck.

The helicopter footage shows the truck almost hit a pedestrian, and narrowly missed other vehicles. The truck skidded off road near I-394 and 159th Street, and hit a canine officer and his dog. Their condition is unknown.
