Hot, Humid Weather; Daily Storm Chances For IL
Storms are possible throughout the week as temperatures climb into the 90s.
ILLINOIS — Hot and humid weather is expected this week, and daily thunderstorms are also possible, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS said episodes of storms are likely, but for how much of the area and when isn't confidently known yet.
Humid and warm weather is also expected, but how hot it gets will depend on storms and clouds, the weather service said.
Monday will have a high of 90 degrees, with a chance of morning showers in north central Illinois and a chance of storms at night mainly north of Interstate 80, according to the weather service. Tuesday and Wednesday are both predicted to be hot and humid, with highs of 92 and 93, respectively.

Both days also will feature a chance of storms, according to the weather service.
Thursday will have a high of 88 but in the upper 70s closer to the lake, according to the weather service. Thursday also is predicted to have a chance of storms throughout the day and night.

Friday will have a high of 86 and another chance of thunderstorms, the weather service said.
