John Belushi Documentary To Headline Chicago Film Festival
R.J. Cutler's documentary, "Belushi," is making its way to the big screen this October.

CHICAGO — This year's Chicago Film Festival will open with a documentary film that is 15 years in the making.
The documentary, “Belushi,” by filmmaker R.J. Cutler, explores the life of Chicagoan John Belushi, a comedian and actor who died in 1982 at the age of 33. The premier will be held on Oct. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Chicago Tribune reports the documentary explores Belushi's life through archival interviews with Dan Aykroyd, Penny Marshall, Lorne Michaels, Carrie Fisher and more.

The festival said on social media that the documentary will be screened for in-person attendees at the ChiTownMovies drive-in theater in Pilsen and virtually for those watching from home.
According to the Tribune, a significant portion of this year's festival will be available to watch from home through a streaming website and on Roku and Apple TV apps.

Tickets to the festival go on sale on Sept. 23 for members, Sept. 25 for festival pass holders and Sept. 28 to the general public.
