Letter Carrier Shot During Robbery In Chicago: Authorities

Two letter carriers were targeted in separate armed robberies, and one of them was shot, authorities said.

CHICAGO — Two letter carriers were targeted in separate armed robberies Tuesday in northwest Chicago, and one of the victims was shot, according to authorities.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Kildare Avenue and the second robbery happened about 15 minutes later in the 1800 block of North Sawyer Avenue, authorities said.

The suspect vehicle is a stolen white Kia sedan with the Illinois license plate BF73931, according to authorities, who said one suspect was wearing a backward blue cap with stickers on the orange bill and Jordan sneakers with a blue crown emblem and blue stripes.
