Life-Threatening Injuries After Pedestrian, Vehicle Collide On I-57
Lanes were closed until about 5 a.m. following the overnight South Side crash, according to state police.
CHICAGO, IL — One person suffered life-threatening injuries after an overnight crash on the far South Side, according to state police.
The incident involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, and occurred Sunday, just before midnight, on southbound Interstate 57 near 99th Street, police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with severe injuries, according to police.
Lanes were closed on the interstate until about 5 a.m., police said.
