Lights Off! Virtual Earth Day Event
Participants who post with #BungalowBlackout are entered to win a $250 Walgreens gift card.

Here's a simple way to celebrate Earth Day while we're all at home.
The Chicago Bungalow Association is hosting their second annual Bungalow Blackout, and giving Chicagoans a chance to win $250 for helping the environment.
To participate in the event, turn off non-essential lights at home from 8pm to 9pm on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd. Then post a picture on social media of your candlelit evening with the hashtag #BungalowBlackout. By posting with the hashtag, you'll be entered to win a $250 Walgreens gift card.

"Let's come together to save a whole lot of kilowatts and remember that small energy conservation efforts like this can make a big impact on the environment," the organization wrote in their Facebook event.
The event was inspired by Earth Hour, a global event organized by World Wide Fund for Nature that encourages people to turn off their lights for one hour on a certain day each year.
