Lincoln Park Community Services Hosts Annual METAMORPHOSIS Spring Gala

Celebrating Life Transformations While Honoring Longtime Supporters

For nearly four decades, Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) has been dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness in Chicago. LPCS offers housing, meals and comprehensive social services aimed at empowering the most vulnerable members of our community to secure permanent housing and effect sustainable life changes.

On April 19th, 2024, LPCS will host its highly anticipated annual spring gala, Metamorphosis, at Venue West (221 N Paulina) in Chicago. The evening promises an array of activities including cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner, music, and dancing, all in support of LPCS's mission. Moreover, the program will feature a paddle raise, live auction, and stories shared by LPCS "guests" that offer a glimpse into their transformative journeys.

Metamorphosis will also honor Carol and Brendan Deely, long-time supporters, with the 2024 Compassion in Action Award. Their unwavering dedication and generosity are instrumental in the continued success of LPCS.

“Lincoln Park Community Services has had the ability to grow and serve more people experiencing homelessness, because we stand on the solid foundation that Carol and Brendan Deely has helped build for more than 20 years,” explains Cheryl Hamilton-Hill, CEO of LPCS. “The steadfast engagement and support of their entire family demonstrates what can happen when a few committed individuals get together to help change the community. We will be forever grateful for their outstanding leadership.”

Since its inception in 1985, LPCS has grown exponentially, expanding its services and facilities to meet the evolving needs of Chicago's unhoused population. The organization's addition of a second facility in June 2019 has doubled its interim housing capacity to 83 beds, introduced 20 on-site subsidized permanent supportive apartments and enhanced programs & services to better serve the community.
