Lincoln Park Community Services Raises Nearly $250,000 at Annual Gala
'Metamorphosis' Fights Homelessness while Celebrating Supporters and LPCS Guests
It was an evening of celebration at the 2024 Metamorphosis gala hosted by Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) on Friday, April 19th at Venue West in Chicago. Approximately 200 guests were in attendance to raise nearly $250,000 to fight homelessness while honoring longtime supporters Carol and Brendan Deely and celebrating the transformative journeys of two LPCS graduates – Lea Starling and Anthony Brown.
Metamorphosis was hosted by former Chicago television anchor Derrick Blakely and featured a seated dinner, music, paddle raise, auction, and stories shared by LPCS Guests. The Deely’s were presented with the 2024 Compassion in Action Award for their unwavering dedication and generosity that has been instrumental in the continued success of LPCS and its Guests.
“Our LPCS community cares about those experiencing homelessness in Chicagoland,” adds Cheryl Hamilton-Hill, CEO of LPCS. “It was evident in the money that was raised to honor longtime volunteers and supporters Carol and Brendan Deely and the Guests whom we serve. Our friends and volunteers always step up in a big way to address the need. People gave generously, and as a result, we are able to help more individuals stabilize their lives and get on a path towards independence.”
