LISA providing gift of relaxation for frontline caregivers
Organizations, individuals can sponsor massages & more to thank healthcare heroes for their hard work & compassion during the pandemic
LISA, a company that partners with employers to provide self-care at the workplace, is bringing its gift of relaxation to healthcare workers who have been putting in long and hard hours during the COVID-19 crisis. The LISA for Essential Workers program launched June 17 and 18 at Sinai Health System hospitals in Chicago, with 65 frontline caregivers receiving free facials and massages as a token of gratitude for the commitment and compassion they’ve demonstrated over the past few months. LISA will send its Artists (service providers) to other hospitals, nursing homes and health centers in the coming weeks.
Organizations and individuals can sponsor care packages at a variety of price points, depending on the number of people served and the services offered. LISA investor Howard Tullman, general managing partner for G2T3V and Chicago High-Tech Investors, sponsored the services recently offered at Mount Sinai and Holy Cross Hospitals. Those who received the services were grateful to LISA for providing the relaxing and reinvigorating break and for showing appreciation. “The hospital staff has been working hard, and it’s been stressful. But having these 15 minutes to relax and not worry about it coming out of our pocket is really nice, especially with the situation we’re in right now,” a Mount Sinai nurse said. Karen Teitelbaum, president and CEO of Sinai Health System, also shared her gratitude for “the thoughtful and nurturing gift of relaxation during this challenging and exhausting time for frontline caregivers.”

Robert Richmond, co-founder/CEO of LISA, says the organization looks forward to providing many more healthcare heroes with facials and massages, as well as manicures, haircuts and other beauty services. “We apply our expertise to helping people look good, feel good and work better, and we can’t think of a more deserving group right now than those who have been on the front lines throughout this pandemic,” he says.
Richmond says LISA Artists will ensure the experience is enjoyable and safe, by wearing masks and gloves and following CDC and state guidelines. In addition, Artists’ temperatures will be taken before they begin working.
