Man, 20, Dies After Being Pinned By Semi As He Helped Park It

Police said the incident appears to have been an accident and that no charges were filed against the semi driver for the Tuesday incident.

CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was fatally crushed by a semi truck Tuesday morning as he helped the driver back into a driveway, police said.

Axel Mancilla was pinned against the truck at around 11:15 a.m. in a driveway in the 10300 block of South Commercial Avenue. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police told Patch the incident appears to be an accident and that no charges were pending against the driver as of Wednesday.
