Man Killed 1 Sister, Injured Another In River North Shooting: Reports
A man was arrested Tuesday after a woman was shot through the leg and watched her sister die, according to reports.

CHICAGO, IL — A Chicago man arrested Tuesday is accused of killing a woman and seriously injuring her sister during an April shooting in a busy nightlife area of River North, according to reports.
Jason McMahan, 36, is charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, police said. McMahan killed a 26-year-old woman around 1 a.m. April 30 in the 300 block of North State Street and hurt a 31-year-old woman, according to police.
Tashawnna Anderson had gone outside to confront her friend’s boyfriend before she was fatally shot, WLS reported, adding Anderson had seen the man with another woman at the nearby 10Pin Bowling Lounge. Her sister, LaShawn Anderson, was shot through the leg and watched Tashawnna Anderson die, according to WLS.
