Man Points Gun At TV News Crew During Live Report On Gun Violence
The incident occurred about 7 a.m. in downtown Chicago.

CHICAGO, IL — A man appeared to point a gun at a TV news crew during a live report Wednesday in downtown Chicago.
Video of the incident, which occurred about 7 a.m. in the 400 block of North Clark Street, shows a man enter the image frame behind FOX 32 reporter Joanie Lum, holding what appeared to be a gun aloft and pointing it at the camera. Lum was in the middle of a story on Chicago gun violence at the time, according to FOX 32.
“The gun was one foot from her head as he pointed at the camera or cameraman Gary,” “Good Day Chicago” anchor Anita Padilla said in a tweet. “She is understandably shaken. Thank God she is okay.”

Police are seeking to identify the man and are characterizing the incident as an aggravated assault with a firearm. The gunman is described by police as an 18- to 25-year-old African American man with a thin build, weighing 130-150 pounds and standing between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. The man was wearing a dark hoodie, black jacket, light ripped blue jeans and dark shoes, according to police.
