Man Tasered On American Airlines Flight To Chicago: Video

The man allegedly fondled a female passenger and used racial slurs, Miami-Dade police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A man was removed from an American Airlines flight to Chicago Sunday night after he got into an argument with another passenger, the airline said. A witness shot a video of the man being uncooperative with police, and getting tasered before he was removed. The incident caused the flight to be delayed by about an hour, American Airlines said.

Jacob A. Garcia, 28, got into an argument with a couple on the flight, according to Miami-Dade police. Garcia allegedly touched a woman inappropriately, and then got into an argument with the woman and her boyfriend, police said. Garcia then used racial slurs after he was asked to move to a different seat, according to witnesses.

"...you just assaulted a lady for one, and you're racist," a passenger is heard telling Garcia in the video, after he asked why he's being removed from the plane.

According to American Airlines, the flight crew asked Garcia to leave the plane. When he refused, police officers were called in to remove him. The video shows him resisting police, and officers eventually using a taser on him.

As Garcia was being taken to a police car, officers said he tried to grab an officer's gun, but they were able to stop him, police said.
