Metra To Add Extra Trains For Chicago's Pride Parade 2018
Metra will ramp up BNSF service from Aurora to Chicago and Union Pacific service along the West, North and Northwest routes.

CHICAGO, IL — In anticipation of large crowds flocking to the 2018 Pride Parade on Chicago's North Side, Metra has announced additional train service. Extra BNSF and Union Pacific trains have been added to take people to and from the city. Service has been added to the most heavily-traveled lines, Metra officials said.
The parade will kick off at noon on Sunday, June 24, from Montrose Avenue and Broadway in Uptown to Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park.
Two additional BNSF trains will operate from Aurora to Chicago starting at 8:10 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. — they will stop at Route 59, Naperville, Lisle, Belmont and Downers Grove. Two BNSF trains have also been added at 4:35 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. from Union Station in Chicago to take people home to the same destinations along the route to Aurora.
