Metra Plans Major Hiring Push For Variety of Positions In January
Metra is hiring locomotive engineers, conductors, maintenance, cleaners, administration and more in January. Proof of vaccination required.
CHICAGO — Metra is planning a major hiring push in early January to make sure it has enough personnel for schedule adjustments in the first quarter of 2022.
The jobs to be posted in early January include locomotive engineers, conductors, coach cleaners, trackman, maintenance positions, and other positions in operations and administration. The openings will be posted on Metra’s careers portal. Applicants may be limited for more desirable positions. All new hires are required to show proof of vaccination.
A variety of positions have been left open during pandemic lows. There may also be openings created by employees opting to retire rather than comply with Metra’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
