Mild Temps Start The Week, Before Rain, Colder Temps Move In

Weather will be dry and sunny on Monday, but rain is possible throughout the rest of the week.

ILLINOIS — Mild weather will start the work week, before rain moves into the area and temps turn colder once again, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Monday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 66 degrees, according to the weather service. Tuesday will be slightly cooler with a high of 61, and spotty showers are possible.

A much stronger storm system will move into the area on Wednesday, and will likely bring rain and wind, as well as colder weather, the weather service said.

Wednesday will have a high of 61, and a chance of showers in the afternoon. Thursday has an expected high of 59, and will be windy and rainy, the weather service said.

Friday will be much colder, with a high near 45 degrees, the weather service said. There is a chance of showers during the day, and a slight chance of rain and snow showers on Friday night, according to the weather service.
